NurseryNote is a school-management platform for small preschools in India. We help schools manage fees, homework, leave applications, holidays, and announcements, and help parents stay close to their child's school day. What we hold about you and your child is listed in full in Section 2 of our Privacy Policy.
The service is operated by Jaskanwarpal Singh (sole proprietor, "NurseryNote", "we", "us"). The service consists of a web admin panel (for principals and teachers) and a mobile app (for parents, teachers, and principals).
Parents sign in on mobile with a Google account — keep it secure; we cannot recover access if your Google account is compromised. Web-admin users (principals, teachers) sign in with an email and password issued by their school or NurseryNote; keep your password confidential.
You must provide accurate information. Giving false information (wrong name, fake phone, etc.) may result in your account being removed by the school.
When using NurseryNote you agree:
NurseryNote has four role types:
Your role is assigned by the school during enrolment. Parents are added as guardians of their children by the school's principal.
We will use commercially reasonable effort to keep NurseryNote running, secure, and free of critical bugs. We regularly release updates and fixes.
The service is provided "as-is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and scheduled maintenance may temporarily suspend the service.
You can deactivate your account any time via "Delete My Account" in the mobile Settings, or by emailing hello@nurserynote.com.
Deactivation revokes your login and makes your account inaccessible. See the Privacy Policy for details on what happens to your records after deactivation (in short: records are retained for school audit purposes; personal identifiers are anonymized on request and automatically 30 days after deletion).
Your school's principal can remove your access at any time — for example, when a student leaves the school, or in case of misuse.
We can suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, particularly around abuse, unauthorised access, or unlawful content.
NurseryNote is provided as a service to help schools and parents communicate. We are not responsible for:
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. For users who have not paid anything (most parents), liability is limited to INR 1,000.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law — including liability for our own gross negligence, fraud, or breach of our obligations under the DPDPA.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mohali, Punjab, India.
These terms carry a version and a date, both printed at the top of this page. The date moves whenever we change anything at all, including a typo. The version moves only when we change something that matters to you — what the service is, what you are agreeing to, or what either of us is responsible for.
When the version moves, we will ask you again, for the part that changed. Carrying on using NurseryNote is not an agreement to a change, and we will not treat it as one.
We will tell you by email, at the address on your account. We will not promise you a notice inside the app, because today we cannot send one — alerts in NurseryNote are always sent within a single school.
We keep our published versions on record, so you can ask us what an earlier one said. Write to hello@nurserynote.com.
